The 1st Steps Chemical Classification Kit is a rapid and intuitive screening system for response to chemical emergencies. It can be used to rapidly classify the hazards of solids, liquids, and concentrated gases and vapors. The kit contains detection papers, sampling tools, and a temperature gun to determine if a mixture is actively reacting along with other thermal hazards. This is the first simplified hazard classification kit that is easy to operate, the kit is designed to be incorporated into existing monitoring strategies, and should be used with advanced technologies (such as FTIR and Raman )to get a more complete picture of the hazards present - even in complex mixtures
